Hey there. So, while you were busy doing your thing, 2013 whizzed by and decided to end. Somehow it seems to happen earlier and earlier every year, but there we are.

As you may have surmised from the blog, I’ve been thinking a lot about my life and how to make it even better. And the end of a year makes for a rather convenient benchmark to assess our progress. Hence the New Years Resolution, which are often things like “Eat better” and “Lose weight” and “Exercise more” and other incredibly vague and impossible to measure goals that we routinely forget by mid-February if not earlier.

But if I’m gonna talk the talk, it is time to walk the walk. So instead of just congratulating myself for doing most things good enough, I’ve consulted the spouse and decided that 2014 is either going to be the year that I make some long-intended changes, or be the year that I eat a lot of crow for saying I was going to do it on my blog and then let laziness win yet again. I’m fairly opposed to embarrassment, which is a good motivator. But even more so, when I look at the successes I’ve already had, I know I respond to a good plan. Now I just need to build on what I’ve learned and spread it out to some other areas.
